18 holes for STEM

The 3rd annual Swings Fore STEM Golf Outing brought industry professionals together for a day of fun and fundraising to benefit the Georgia BioEd Institute’s K-12 teacher and student programs. Thanks to the 60 golfers playing an 18-hole team scramble at the Country Club of Roswell, we raised over $12,000 to support our STEM education initiatives.

After a long morning of regrettable slices, forgettable putts, and strategic mulligans, Arbor Pharmaceuticals’ Team 2 emerged victorious. It was a close call too – a team from Alimera Sciences tied with Arbor on total score, and judges had to look to the teams’ scores on the highest handicap hole. With those scores tied, it came down to hole #14 where the Arbor team edged out Alimera by one stroke. To the victors, the spoils: Georgia BioEd tumblers, pro shop cash, and the coveted green lab coats:
