41,000 curious folks - Georgia BioEd Institute

41,000 curious folks

41,000 curious folks

The fourth annual Atlanta Science Festival delighted 41,000 curious kids and adults with 100 engaging events from March 15-25, 2017.

As a proud sponsor of the event, the Georgia BioEd Institute hosted a Georgia Life Science Industry tent at the Festival’s culminating event, the Exploration Expo, at Centennial Olympic Park. Joining us in the tent were exhibitors from Alcon Laboratories, VWR, and Hi-Q Cosmetics who created interactive, hands-on activities to showcase their business’s discoveries and innovations to 18,000 people at the state’s largest interactive public science day. Hands-on science activities, live performances, and science haiku made for a great day to get the public excited about Atlanta’s science resources and opportunities for educational advancement and careers in STEM.

The Atlanta Science Festival celebrates local science and technology with public science events from local colleges, museums and companies. The Festival’s one hundred events occur at different venues across the metro area to provide entertaining and engaging learning experiences for children and adults, and to highlight Atlanta as a science metropolis.
