Georgia Bio announces its second Life Sciences Workforce Forum, bringing together employers, educators, and economic developers for a discussion of life science workforce needs and how Georgia is addressing those needs. This year’s theme is building and maintaining partnerships to improve science education. The opening keynote address will be provided by Dr. Bruce Fuchs, Director, Office of Science Education at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Fuchs will provide a perspective on the critical role science education plays in maintaining US economic competitiveness and how the NIH is investing in this future workforce

Each year, the Conference on Biotechnology Education integrates the Biotechnology Institute's core programs into a unique national conference for teachers, students, and their supporters in from the biotechnology industry. The conference offers attendees sessions on best practices, competitions, hands-on professional development sessions linked to education and skill standards, mentoring workshops, and career development for students interested in biotechnology. The conference coincides with the BIO International Convention.
