Georgia Bio has launched an outreach program to increase contacts between students and educators and professional life scientists and business persons through the generous funding of Georgia Power Foundation.
How it Works
Visiting scientists are available to discuss life science careers, their own research, and special topics.
Georgia Bio has established a confidential database of life science professionals who are willing to will to reach out to the educational community.
Educators may contact GaBio via the web using the request form below to request an interaction, and Georgia Bio will match the request to available volunteers. Requests will be filled on a first come, first-serve basis based on availability of volunteers.
Georgia Bio has prepared presentations on biotechnology and life science careers (link to presentations page on line) appropriate for middle and high school students, as well as tips for effectively presenting in the classroom. We also ask that educators complete an online survey after the contact to let us know how we’re doing.
